Maxime is an MBA candidate originating from Cameroon and specializing in Entrepreneurship. With a strong foundation in Mining Engineering and extensive experience in the quarry industry, Maxime is poised to leverage his exceptional leadership and team-building skills to launch a social-impactful startup before graduation.
As President, Maxime is dedicated to cultivating a graduate ecosystem anchored in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity, enhancing the experience for all graduate students within the faculty.
Heidi is an MBA student specializing in Finance. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Business Analytics and Finance. Prior to starting her MBA, she worked in data analytics and corporate strategy for a major insurance company in Boston.
In her role as VP Finance, Heidi is committed to making DGSS financial processes not only more efficient, but also more transparent and inclusive. Through ongoing collaboration with the DGSS community, Heidi aims to continually refine these processes to ensure they remain efficient, accountable, and beneficial for all.
Meghan is an MMR candidate who specializes in digital marketing and product management. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Prior to joining the MMR program, she worked in e-commerce as a PPC data analyst.
As VP Internal, she aims to enhance the vibrancy and engagement of DGSS events, creating enjoyable and impactful experiences that strengthen the student community.
Tehreem is a results-driven professional currently pursuing a Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) at McGill University. With a strong foundation in business technology management, analytics, and strategic consulting, Tehreem brings a wealth of experience in fostering collaboration and driving impactful results. With a proven ability to integrate technology and business insights, Tehreem has been recognized in academic and professional circles, including competing in Canada’s largest case competition, Jeux du Commerce, and leading partnerships such as Vice President of External Affairs for the Telfer Finance Society at the University of Ottawa.
As VP External of the Desautels Graduate Student Society, Tehreem is dedicated to building meaningful connections between McGill’s master’s students and industry professionals. Through targeted outreach initiatives and strategic partnerships, her goal is to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world, creating opportunities for students to grow, network, and succeed in their careers.
Bintou Keïta is an MBA candidate and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. She brings over seven years of experience in consulting engineering, specializing in ground engineering project management for civil and mining infrastructure.
As VP Student Groups and Academics, Bintou aims to support clubs and students in organizing impactful events and initiatives. She is dedicated to serving as a bridge between master’s students and Desautels’s academic directors and advisors, fostering collaboration and finding solutions to address students' needs.
In her free time, Bintou enjoys pilates, dancing, handicrafts and music.
Jia Wei is an MBA candidate at the Desautels Faculty of Management and is a proud McGill alumna, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Labour Relations. Prior to her MBA, Jia Wei gained experience in the U.S. merchant acquiring industry, focusing on strategic initiatives and revenue optimization.
Currently serving as VP of Communications, Jia Wei is committed to amplifying the voices and initiatives of the graduate student body. She strives to deliver clear, transparent, and compelling communications that fosters open dialogue and meaningful engagement.
Outside of academics, Jia Wei enjoys ballet, art, pastries, and is involved in philanthropic efforts, particularly with a children’s hospital, where she draws inspiration from her own experiences with pediatric care.
Karen is currently a Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) candidate, with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Analytics and Marketing from McGill University. Before joining the MMA program, Karen pursued internships and held positions at Deloitte and Apple. She has a strong interest in applying her data analytics expertise at leading tech firms such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
As an MMA representative, Karen is dedicated to enriching her cohort's experience by organizing events within and across programs, while advocating for her peers' academic and career goals.
Outside of school, you’ll find her at any 5à7, socializing with people, playing board games, cooking Lebanese Food (the best!) or travelling.
Selina Ved is currently pursuing a Master of Management in Retail (MMR). As the visionary founder of Nessa.com and co-founder of Nysaa, Selina has made significant strides in the beauty industry, revolutionizing the market with digital innovation and strategic brand building.
Recognized on Forbes Middle East's 30 Under 30 list in 2022, her entrepreneurial journey reflects a deep understanding of consumer behavior and a passion for integrating technology with retail. With a focus on making beauty accessible, Selina continues to shape the future of retail in the Middle East.
Aima is currently pursuing a Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) at McGill University. She holds a bachelor's degree with double majors in Finance and Marketing, along with an MBA. With experience in marketing and research, she brings a diverse skill set to the program. Before moving to Canada, she spent time in Turkey, where she gained proficiency in Turkish language, explored different cultures, and enjoyed meeting new people.
Beyond academics, Aima has a passion for baking, cooking, traveling, and fostering connections. As an MMA Online Representative, she is dedicated to ensuring that online students have equal access to career opportunities, networking experiences, and academic resources comparable to their in-person counterparts. She aims to create an engaging and collaborative environment by organizing events, facilitating discussions, and strengthening peer connections.
Nouran graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in 2021 and has since worked across B.C. on a variety of tunneling and trenchless construction projects as a Geotechnical Engineer. She is also a passionate advocate for empowering women and international students in STEM and currently serves as Mentorship Director for Women in Consulting Engineering (WCE) Vancouver.
Outside of work, Nouran enjoys listening to podcasts, staying active, traveling, and discovering new food spots. She is excited to work alongside Aima to bring fresh ideas and initiatives to the MMA Class of 2026 and looks forward to seeing how the MMA community will grow!
Amal is an MBA candidate at the Desautels Faculty of Management with a background in biomedical sciences and engineering. She has experience in project management within clinical research, focusing on process optimization, regulatory compliance, and team coordination to achieve impactful results.In addition, Amal has entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder of a medtech startup, where she developed skills in strategy, product development, and stakeholder engagement.
As Class Representative, Amal is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive MBA community where students can connect, engage, and grow together. Outside of academics, she enjoys hiking and training in combat sports such as MMA and boxing.
Thibault is a Master of Management in Finance (MMF) candidate with an international business undergraduate background. Prior to joining McGill University, Thibault has done various exchange programs and internships abroad, feeding a strong interest in global finance and cross-cultural collaboration.
As MMF representative and head of Alumni Relations at Desautels Capital Management, Thibault aspires to reinforce his cohort’s cohesion with external students and create a memorable experience for them.
Outside of academics, Thibault enjoys fashion as well as science-based training and nutrition.
Ria Zhang is a Master of Management in Retailing (MMR) candidate at McGill University, building on her Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Marketing from McMaster University, where she was consistently named to the Dean’s Honour List. She is also a CFA Level II candidate.
Ria currently serves as the North America Director for VMAX Forklift, a China-based industrial vehicle manufacturer with over $1 billion USD in annual sales revenue worldwide. In this role, she is leading the company’s expansion into the Canadian and U.S. markets by developing strategic partnerships, exploring regulatory compliance, and building retail and after-sales operations abroad.
As MMR Representative, Ria is dedicated to strengthening her cohort’s connections and creating opportunities that enhance both professional development and cultural exchange. She is passionate about bridging retail innovation, data-driven insights, and global market strategy.
Chloe is currently pursuing the Master of Management in Analytics program. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics: Statistics and Economics at the University of Maryland, followed by a Data Analytics Bootcamp, where she strengthened her technical and analytical skills. Chloe joined the MMA program to further develop her ability to leverage analytics and AI to drive strategic, data-informed decisions.
Outside of school, Chloe loves traveling, cafe hopping, taking pictures, and creating short videos to capture everyday moments. You can often find her at a cozy coffee shop, enjoying her favorite cup while working or chatting with friends. As the MMA class representative, she hopes to build a friendly and inclusive community by connecting her cohort with previous ones, encouraging collaboration, and making the MMA experience enjoyable and supportive for everyone.
Lau is currently a Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) candidate with a background in Economics and Opertations Management at McGill University. Her academic foundation allows her to approach decision-making from both a strategic and big picture perspective, while keeping a practical approach.
She chose to pursue the MMA to apply analytical tools to real world business problems and drive meaningful change through data-driven insights. Before joining the program, she completed internships across accounting, finance and the public sector, giving her a well-rounded understanding of business and policy environments.
